Always on the cusp of new AIDS treatments, Dr. Sandler has been the main investigator
or sub investigator of drug studies and AIDS research. In 1998, she was the main
investigator for a drug used for treatment of Kaposis Sarcoma (KS) and was able to put her
patients on this successful medication long before being approved by the FDA.
This is a major advantage for choosing her as your AIDS/HIV specialist.
Dr.Sandler has also been a principal investigator for drugs that treat the opportunistic infection, cryptosporidiosis. She's been a sub-investigator on several successful studies of medications that are currently being used for treatment such as Crixivan, Saquinavir, Delavirdine, Viracept, Sustiva, and Ziagen.
Always abreast of the latest research, plus her active participation in organizations such as AIDS Research Alliance, affords Dr. Sandler the ability to recommend premier medications and
treatments to her patients. She is on the medical board of ARA (AIDS Research
Alliance) and is actively involved with their studies including a new type of
drug called a Receptor Inhibitor.
Dr. Sandler has written several AIDS/HIV articles including co-authoring an abstract accepted by the 9th International
AIDS Conference. She has given many lectures to both the gay and heterosexual
communities on many topics including new AIDS treatments. Recently, Dr. Sandler
lectured to heterosexual PWAs (person with AIDS) about new AIDS treatments.
As a highly-respected expert in the HIV/AIDS medical community, Dr. Sandler is listed as an Expert Witness with the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is also available for legal consultation and litigation support.
