HIV Testing

Who's at risk for HIV/AIDS?

You are at risk and should have HIV testing if you have engaged in unsafe exchange of bodily fluids such as semen, blood, and vaginal secretions. HIV/AIDS was once thought to be a gay man's disease but today's statistics report otherwise. You may be at risk for HIV/AIDS if you or your sexual partner, or multiple sexual partners, are:

  • Female
  • Straight
  • Gay
  • Lesbian
  • Bisexual or Bi-curious
  • Transgender
  • Caucasian
  • Afro-American
  • Hispanic
  • Asian
  • An IV-drug user or snorted drugs
  • People who frequent prostitutes
  • Teenagers
  • Post-Menopausal women who no longer think they need to use condoms.
Our HIV Risk Calculator can help determine whether HIV risk factors are applicable to you and offer additional recommendations to consider.

HIV test results usually take a few days.
